Dunridge Farms
About
Dunridge Farms is a family owned certified organic farm that is operated by the Schneider Family. It is located just south of Collingwood Ontario in the hamlet of Duntroon which was founded by Scottish settlers in 1834. Our family are descendants of these pioneers which came from Islay, Scotland to this familiar looking landscape which is nestled in Blue Mountain region of the Niagara Escarpment overlooking Georgian Bay and rolling farmland. Our land was inhabited by the Petun and Huron Indians and traversed by Champlain in 1634 during his explorations of this area, The land is extremely fertile with the fields of Harriston Loam soils, a beneficial outcome of being the shoreline of the ancient Lake Algonquin which has since receded to become the Great Lakes. Stop into our Farm if you in the area and see our orchards and fields of garlic and vegetables. Dunridge Farms will continue to diversify and develop products over the next 5 years as we work toward establishing a solid footing in our current projects and look to further expand in new areas.
