JESSICA TAMLIN WINS MURRAY CLERKSON ART AWARD


The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts is pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 award for emerging artists is JESSICA TAMLIN of Creemore. Tamlin was selected from thirteen other artists from the South Georgian Bay Area to receive the $1000 award bequeathed by the late Murray Clerkson of Collingwood.

This honour is accompanied by a month-long showing of Tamlin’s work, along with that of the five other finalists, at the gallery of the BLUE MOUNTAIN FOUNDATION OF THE ARTS on Simcoe Street in Collingwood.

The Show runs until Saturday, June 22. The Gallery is open to the public Tues. to Sat., 11:am to 5:pm.

ALEX RUSTON of Collingwood.

Tamlin’s and these finalists’ art entries were subjected to a rigorous evaluation process by a jury made up of five accomplished artists from the South Georgian Bay Area.

This year’s ART SHOW also features art by nine previous winners; a retrospective of the Clerkson Award since the passing of Murray Clerkson.
