Dining with a View

Have you heard about the new Summitview Pavilion patio restaurant perched at the top of Blue Mountain?

A unique outdoor dining experience with an incredible view this new dining experience hits all of the right notes with a menu that offers refreshing starters and share plates, delicious entrees and delectable dessert options and a kids menu.

“Our up market BBQ menu has been carefully designed to be manageable and fairly simple, yet presented in a sophisticated atmosphere.” – Simon, F&B Director, BMR.

We started our meal with a lovely bottle of Blue Mountain 2018 Trailblazer Red, the Caesar Lover Salad and the Summer Greens Salad.  Both salads were very generous in size, refreshing and so fresh and crunchy.

It was lovely to see our server, Sheila who we know from many dining experiences at The Pottery Restaurant, and the linen napkins were a very nice touch.

For our entrees, we selected the Grilled Salmon with Honey Garlic Butter and the Baby Back Ribs.  All entrees are served with a choice of two sides.  You can choose from Potato Salad, Corn on the Cob, Baked Potato or Cole Slaw. We finished off a spectacular meal with the New York Cheesecake served with warm spiced apples.  Absolutely delicious!

There are two ways to get there.  Go for a ride on the gondola embarking from the base in the Blue Mountain Village, or you can take a drive up Scenic Caves Road and park in the upper parking lot at the top of Blue Mountain.  The restaurant is fully accessible by taking a short walk along the pathway which can accommodate strollers, walkers or wheelchairs.

Located beneath a spectacular tent this new dining hot spot has a full kitchen, bar and offers a variety of comfortable seating options to choose from including Muskoka chairs positioned perfectly to enjoy the spectacular view of The Blue Mountain Village, Collingwood and beautiful Georgian Bay or if you prefer a more traditional style of seating, the patio tables are spacious and sturdy and the chairs are very comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely be back.  But we’ll make sure we make a reservation on-line in advance to ensure that we have our table locked in before making the drive.  We can only imagine how spectacular the view will be once the fall colours start showing. Current hours are open daily from Noon – 7PM.

Blue Mountain Resort and the Blue Mountain Village offer a wonderful selection of dining destinations to choose from, so whatever you’re hungry for, you’ll find it here.
