Bay Haven Care Community is Celebrating its 50th Anniversary
Bay Haven Care Community is celebrating its 50th anniversary on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019. It has been 50 years since Elwyn Strandholt and Dawn Strandholt began their Nursing Home business. Originally located at 601 Hurontario Street, the business grew to popularity and became the most recognizable nursing home in Collingwood. Bay Haven has set a name for itself within the community by providing individualized care for seniors. Bay Haven’s mission is to enhance the lives of individuals by providing person-centred, high quality retirement living and long-term care.
Bay Haven’s popularity grew, and in 1985 the retirement home was added to the business. The retirement home provided a comfortable and reliable living arrangement for seniors in Collingwood. In 2002, Bay Haven added a new section to the retirement home, the Suites, offering spacious rooms with large windows that are senior friendly. As we have been doing for the past 50 years, Bay Haven continues to strive to give all residents the home and care that they deserve.
Bay Haven is proud to celebrate its 50th anniversary on January 15th. The 50th anniversary celebration will take place at 499 Hume Street, Collingwood,. The golden anniversary celebration will include, food, music, photos, and speeches from newly-elected Mayor Brian Saunderson, Town Crier Ken Templeton, Dawn Strandholt, and Scott Strandholt. Bay Haven had a successful 50 years in providing the best care for our senior citizens in Collingwood and we are looking forward to continuing providing this service for the next 50 years to come.
