The lilacs and the apple blossoms are in full bloom in and around our fair land. If you get the chance, take a bike ride along the Georgian Trail up to the Craigleith Depot where you can find the best display of beautiful lilac bushes in lovely shades of pink, purple and white.
The face of the Collingwood landscape has been forever changed. A 1000-pound wrecking ball reduced the Kaufman Furniture smoke stack to a pile of rubble in just over one hour. We have the whole process from start to finish in our community photo gallery.

The Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic is looking for volunteers. The event will be played at the Georgian Bay Golf Club and the Raven Golf Club at Lora Bay from Thursday, June 26 to Sunday, June 29th, 2008. Each volunteer must work a minimum of three days. This is a great opportunity for high school students to get their volunteer hours. Each volunteer receives a fantastic package including two volunteer golf shirts, hat, badge good for the week, one tournament guest grounds ticket, invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party, complimentary meals and beverages on scheduled work days, parking pass.
