Collingwood is gearing up for a huge Sesquicentennial celebration.  The celebrations start on Friday night with a classic car parade down Hurontario Street, then the next 4 days are kicked off each morning with a pancake breakfast as Hurontario Street features the Farmers Market and Merchant Village. From Ghost walks and Historic Tours to children’s activities and main stage entertainment all day long, the celebrations have something for everyone.

Don’t miss the Ontario Guild of Town Criers Championships hosted by Collingwood’s own Ken Templeman.  Citizen reaffirmation, giant birthday cake and fireworks are all part of the mix so check out our events calendar to start planning your weekend.  Come on Downtown and support our local merchants and restaurants that are all busy making special plans for you.   

Simcoe County Restaurant has changed their offering to expand on one of their most sought after menu items…the 100KM Burger.  Featured is assortment of gourmet burgers, handmade from locally raised meat on a multigrain roll.  You can choose from beef, lamb, pork, chicken, bean or salmon as your base and then build from there.  Check out their new menu.  The mac and cheese featured in this newsletter is the best in the world.

East Side Mario’s has launched a new summer feature menu and if you’re cruising through to Wasaga Beach and want to check out a new Italian Restaurant on Mosley Street, drop by La Roma.  You can check out their menu right here. welcomes our new clients:

The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts is proud to present the 'Arts Centre' a professional level art Gallery venue with monthly exhibitions, and a retail gallery shop featuring the work of many outstanding artists, and artisans. A tour of the Arts Centre is a must-do for guests visiting Collingwood. The gallery shop displays a wide variety of select objets d' art in many mediums, including fabric arts, glass, pottery, ceramics, painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and kinetic sculpture. An ideal source for one of a kind art and craft gifts. The Arts Centre is open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
