Kristine and I have had lots of fun researching and sampling some of the best breakfasts in the area for our Breakfast Lover’s Guide. Do you know where in the Georgian Triangle you can get breakfast from Monday to Friday for only $2.99? The first 10 people that e-mail me the correct answer will receive a gift certificate from one of our sponsors. We hope that you will find the information we have compiled handy and suggest that you book mark the article for future reference. Perhaps you will be inspired to try a new breakfast venue.
That’s me...in my new Honda Element from Blue Mountain Honda. I love this new car…it has pep and fits in with my busy lifestyle…loads of space for skis…that’s really important. Fitted with winter tires, Elliot and I (of course we had to give the new car a name) had no problem zipping up Scenic Caves Road the other day in fairly unfavourable road conditions. The best part of all was the price tag at the pump. Blue Mountain Honda has some excellent Winter Car Care tips for you.

Canadian lamb has always enjoyed the preference of the Canadian consumer. This month Blue Ridge Meats is featuring lamb recipes. Their lamb is raised locally and is less than two years old - all cuts are tender. Sometimes I am told that people do not like to cook lamb as it has an unpleasant odor. Chris at Blue Ridge tells us that this is generally caused by overcooking. Try out one of the store’s recipes or go into the store to pick up your hard copy. We also have a great selection of recipes for Soups and Stews.
Know anyone who is making a baby? You’ll want to read about Baby Fish... it’s making a huge splash and offers up the perfect gift for the mother to be. Fun, functional and fashionable.
We would like to extend our congratulations to Jane Grahek and her team at Furbelows on the opening of their new location. The store is beautiful and sophisticated. Jane…you have outdone yourself once again. If it’s in fashion, it’s at Furbelows so pop on in and say hi to Jane and her staff!
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new sponsors:
Blue Mountain Honda:
Blue Mountain Honda is one of a select group of Honda dealers across the country that earned the prestigious Honda Quality Dealer (Q Dealer) award again in 2006. Earning this award means the dealership met or exceeded important standards for achieving customer satisfaction set by Honda Canada Inc. Why not visit Blue Mountain Honda today and take a test drive. Ward Bond and his very knowledgeable and friendly team will take good care of you.
The Georgian Manor Resort:
Nestled between the clean, clear waters of Georgian Bay, and the challenging slopes of Blue Mountain (Ontario’s largest downhill ski resort), Collingwood's Georgian Manor Resort has become the benchmark by which service and quality are measured in the Georgian Triangle. They’re a country resort, but cater to a very sophisticated, very urbane market. In just over three years of ownership of The Manor, as it has become known, they have rebuilt and renovated the existing inventory of hotel rooms and Members’ suites and condominiums, added a new outdoor pool, tennis courts, a children's playground, a state-of-the-art workout room, a new arcade and games room and Superstition Golf, a spectacularly landscaped 18-hole professional family putting course.
Hope you are having a great winter and I’ll see you on the slopes.
