OslerBrook Golf and Country Club will continue to provide weekly video golf tips throughout the winter, so if you would like to stay on your game throughout the chilly months check back every week for a little refresher.
Talisman Mountain Resort and Conference Centre will be providing weekly video ski tips, loaded with helpful information. Even if you’re a seasoned pro…you may know someone who is just starting out…or someone who thinks they ski well…need I say more? I will count myself among those “who thought they skied well”, until I went for my Level 1 two winters ago…and had to go up to bat twice to pass the technical portion of the course. I consoled myself by remembering that it had been almost 30 years since my last ski lesson. I am now re-balanced and a much better skier because of it.
If you missed any of the Santa Claus Parades…you can find all of the pictures in our Community Photo Gallery, as well, check our Events Calendar for things to keep you busy during the holiday season... as if you don’t have enough to do!
Looking for the perfect Christmas Turkey (or lamb, or ham)? Look no further... start at Blue Ridge Meats. We’ve ordered ours, complete with sausage stuffing, gravy and homemade cranberry sauce. We had such success last Christmas that I don’t think I will ever be stuffing my own Turkey again, something which my husband is quite thankful for. Some really great advice…never ever, ever use a glass dish to cook Turkey in. Something really bad can happen when you add cold water to the bottom of the dish after it’s been in the oven for 3 hours. If you see me on the street sometime, ask me about my exploding Thanksgiving Turkey. It’s quite a tale.
We have some great articles for you to read... like The Perfect Party, an introduction to Grey Heron Natural Designs and if you’re confused about which Video Game Console end is up…you’re in the right place.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new sponsors…
