It's been a flurry of activity these days, the snow guns are going and the skiing is just fantastic. Festive lights twinkle everywhere and you can’t really get tired of Christmas music because there just are not that many shopping malls pumping out holiday music in and around this lovely escarpment.
I love the door to door shopping that the area has to offer which brings me to the latest and greatest new opening in Collingwood, Dags and Willow a fine Cheese and Gourmet food shop, located just across from the Loblaws parking lot on Pine Street. You simply have to pop in for a visit, whether for yourself or to find a special gift. As well, as fine cheeses and gourmet foods, they also offer an array of freshly baked breads. I bought the walnut bread last week and my daughter and I consumed it before the end of the day.
We're been very busy at mycollingwood.ca and have added some new features like Accommodations and a new Photo Gallery where you can find photos from most of the area Santa Claus parades (Stayner, Meaford and Collingwood) as well as some photos from Old Fashion Christmas in Thornbury. We will be making new additions to the Photo Gallery all the time (next week – the Wasaga Beach house decorating contest) so make sure you check back often. Another new addition is a section called How to Use mycollingwood.ca.
We're also running a "Name our Newsletter Contest" which closes on December 31st…so hurry up and get your contest entry in today.
I would just like to remind you that as a member of mycollingwood.ca you can win gift certifications to area shops and restaurants and download special offers like:
Fitzgerald's on the Pond offers buy one entrée and get the second entrée for free or buy one appetizer and get the second one for free;

The Craigleith General Store and Restaurant offers buy one item from the lighter menu and receive a second one free or buy one entrée on Thursday nights and receive a second entrée for free;
