Met Con Blue has a heat running at 12:00pm dedicated to the Soldier On Program.
Fifty per cent of the Heroes Race registration will be donated to the Soldier On Fund. This is Met Con Blue’s way of giving back to those who gave so much for our country, our freedom.
“The members of Soldier On appreciate the support and generosity of Met Con Blue. Donations such as theirs help us to continue to provide additional resources and opportunities for ill and injured military members to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle through participation in physical, recreational and sporting activities,” said Major Jay Feyko, Senior Officer with Soldier On.

About Soldier On
Soldier On is a morale and welfare initiative of the Canadian Forces (CF). It was created in 2006 with the aim of empowering serving and retired Canadian Forces personnel with a permanent or chronic physical or mental health injury or illness to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle by providing resources and opportunities to participate in physical, recreational or sporting activities. It supports these personnel in increasing their independence, in developing new skills, in achieving goals and opening the door to other life opportunities. It furnishes an opportunity for them to socialize and explore common interests, and share learning experiences.
