The evening starts with live music from The Strange Potatoes playing old and new Irish and classic tunes, silent and live auction as well as a delicious dinner served in the Arts Centre next door. Screening is the environmental short doc, Reforesting Las Gaviotas, which marvels at the results of a 25 year reforestation effort in Colombia to transform a large swath of lifeless savannah as it gives birth to a new form of community and sustainability, regenerates biodiversity, produces drinking water and much more. Tickets only $7 - dinner $15. Evening starts at 6:30, live auction at 7:15, film to follow. For details and to purchase tickets visit Elephant Thoughts website or call 705-444-2012.
