Widely recognized as “The Apple Capital of Ontario”, Meaford is a picturesque and welcoming community steeped in heritage architecture, and offering a way of life that promotes preservation, conservation and relaxation.
With Georgian Bay’s sparkling bright blue water in its front yard and the Niagara Escarpment at its back door, Meaford’s borders extend from the hamlets of Leith, Annan and Rockford in the west to Bognor, Woodford, Griersville and the Town of Meaford in the east.
Unsurpassed fishing, sailing, one of the prettiest harbours around, uncrowded beaches, approximately 2500 acres of apple orchards, scenic back road country drives, and historic walking tours are all but a stone’s throw away.
Visitors always receive traditional small town hospitality and a warm welcome when they come to Meaford by the Bay …a place ‘where great memories begin’!
