The Blue Mountain Village Foundation is pleased to announce that a donation will be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters Georgian Triangle. A donation of $7,500 will be presented to the organization on December 10th, 2015 at 10 am in the Blue Mountain Village in front of Sunset Grill. Lesley Dickson of Big Brothers Big Sisters will receive a cheque from the Foundation board members; George Weider and Stacy Manning.
"The Foundation reviewed many applications for funds and all were very deserving," says Stacy Manning Vice President of the Foundation. "We chose to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Group Mentoring for Success programs as they exemplify our efforts to support local youth striving to grow in our community."
"Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Georgian Triangle is absolutely thrilled to be receiving this very generous donation from the Blue Mountain Village Foundation. The funds will be used to support three different group mentoring programs that will be running through the school year. Group mentoring programs have been a very effective way for us to serve more children and are the key to increased outreach, engaging many boys on our waiting list for Big Brothers. We are very grateful for the tremendous support that we have received from the Blue Mountain Village Foundation. With their help we are able to make a BIG difference in the lives of many local children and families." says Jarvis Strong, Executive Director.
