Have you ever thought you’d like to ski somewhere besides ‘the usual’? OR you’d like to ski at one of the private clubs, but you didn’t think you could ski there?
Well, in the Town of the Blue Mountains, you can ski at Alpine Ski Club on Thursdays.
On Thursdays, everyone is welcome: you don’t need to know a member to enjoy Alpine.
“Alpine is very excited to partner with a The Heart and Stroke Foundation to create a wonderful Snow Day that everyone will both enjoy and benefit from”, says Alpine General Manager, Bill Williams. “Every Thursday we partner with a local or regional charity to supply a venue which helps us build awareness in the community and we encourage you to take part."
Whether you are an avid skier looking for some steep terrain, a snowboarder wanting to ride in our Super Pipe or an intermediate preferring to just cruise the day away, Alpine offers thirty-five diverse trails with spectacular views of the valley and Georgian Bay. Alpine is the only Ski Club that boasts a north and a south face, so you can follow the sun throughout the day.
As February is Heart Month, the Heart and Stroke Foundation is the ‘guest’ charity on Thursday, February 17th. For every regular priced lift ticket of $55 (including tax), $10 will go directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Your all day lift ticket includes a complimentary continental breakfast available until 10:00am.
You’ve probably heard the Heart and Stroke radio campaign stating that nine out of every ten Canadians has a risk factor for heart disease. One of the risk factors is inactivity. Almost 50% of Ontarians are physically inactive in their leisure time: that can trim more than three and a half years from your life expectancy. Click here to access a report on risk factors as provided by the Heart and Stroke Foundation. You are welcome to do something good for yourself and others by joining us at Alpine on our Ski Day, Thursday February 17th. Tickets are available onsite on the day of the event or in advance by calling 705-737-1020. For more information on the Heart and Stroke Ski Day at Alpine Ski Club, click here. When you get to Alpine, just say, “I am here in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation!”
Be active and leverage this affordable event. See you on the slopes!
