During the fall season, as the cooler weather sets in and the autumn colours are at their best, Downtown Collingwood celebrates 'Harvest of the Arts', culminating during the Thanksgiving weekend.  From our last Farmers' Market of the season and children's activities, to strolling and shopping our historical downtown, there is something for everyone to experience including the much anticipated annual Art Chair Auction.

Join us Saturday, October 7th from 10 am to1 pm at the Downtown Collingwood Farmers' Market for your chance to purchase one of the much coveted Art Chairs. Silent auction bidding will begin at 10 am and will close at 1 pm sharp - the chairs hold a minimum bid price of $50 and all chairs must be taken home and paid for (cash or cheque) at this time.

In honour of our country's 150 birthday, these Art Chairs were painted to celebrate the theme of 'Collingwood Celebrates Canada' by local artists and have once again been the talk of the town all summer. Chairs were created by aspiring young artists from Collingwood Collegiate to world renowned professionals living locally. They created unique art on Muskoka style chairs in this year's theme to celebrate our community, culture, people and natural surroundings. To view each of the Art Chairs and learn more about the artists, look for the Art on the Street 2017 brochures throughout the community.

If you are looking for that one of a kind, affordable piece of art that will add uniqueness to your yard or porch then this auction is a must! Don't miss out on the fun and your chance to take one (or more!) of these chairs home with you!
