The Collingwood Museum invites children to come explore, have fun, and make new f friends this summer! Museum Summer Programming offers hands-on, child-centered
educational learning activities that children (and parents) will love!

Let it Shine [$6.00, Ages 5-7]. 
Guide your way down to the Collingwood Museum to take part in building your very own lighthouse while discovering the history of Collingwood’s Lighthouse!
Monday, July 4: 10am-11:30am

Happy Habitats [$8.00, Ages 5-12]
Have fun learning about our local plants and animals and find out how we can help in protecting their homes. Kids will enjoy a nature walk where we will find materials to construct our own bird’s nest!

Monday August 15: 2pm-4pm

Air Collingwood [$6.00, Ages 5-12].
3-2-1 TAKE OFF! Let’s explore Collingwood’s exciting aircraft history. Kids will have a blast building and racing their own airplanes!

Puppets, Plays & the Past [$8.00, Ages 5-12]
Lights, camera, action! Step into the spotlight at the Collingwood Museum, while here, create your own puppet and mask! Let your inner actor out while playing a variety of fun, dramatic games!

Totem Time [$6.00, Ages 5-12]
Come discover the exciting past of the Native Petun people of Collingwood and learn about the importance of totem poles. Kids will enjoy incorporating their family history into a miniature totem pole of their own!

Stellar Stained Glass [$8.00, Ages 8-12]
Colour your world! Join us in creating our own stained glass! Kids will have fun playing a variety of colourful games, while learning about Collingwood’s historic churches.

gRAIN Sticks [$10.00, Ages 8-12]
Is that rain you hear? No! It’s Grain! Come take part in the making of your very own rain stick filled with grain while learning about the history of the Collingwood Terminals.

Potato Prints [$6.00, Ages 5-12]
**This activity requires kids to bring their own plain shirt to paint on**
Travel back in time and discover the history of printing and the Pioneer people! Kids will enjoy old-fashioned games and learn how to use potatoes as stencils to create colourful shirts.

Dirt, and worms and rocks, OH MY! Let’s take a look at the farming history of Collingwood and make a scrumptious soil snack!

Calling All Captains! [$6.00, Ages 5-12]
Land, Ho! Set sail with the Collingwood Museum and learn about the shipbuilding and marine history of Collingwood. While here, build your own boat to race against your fellow sailors!

Inukshuk Fun! [$6.00, Ages 5-12]
Let’s explore the life and history of Canada’s Inuit people. Kids will have fun constructing their own Inukshuk and taking part in team building games!

Cave Crusaders [$8.00, Ages 5-12]
Come discover the exciting world of caves! We will build our very own cave model, look at the history of Scenic Caves, and learn some cool cave facts!

Brilliant Boxcars [$8.00, Ages 5-12]
All Aboard! Follow the tracks down to the Collingwood Museum to learn about our railroad history. Kids will enjoy many train-themed games along with making a terrific train memento!

Fishing Frenzy [$8.00, Ages 8-12]
Swim over to the Museum to learn about Collingwood’s history of fishing and take part in creating your own paper Mache fish!

Magic Mayhem [$8.00, Ages 5-12]
ABRA-CADABRA! Join us in discovering the exciting story of Collingwood’s own Houdini. Kids will be amazed by magic tricks and they will even have the chance to
make their own magic potion!
