The calendar say spring, but with cool temperatures in the air and plenty of snow left on the hills, Blue Mountain Resort announces an extension to the 2006/2007 ski and snowboard season. Join Blue Mountain once again April 13th through 15th as the hills re-open for one last weekend of spring skiing and riding.
Their amazing team of snowmakers, groomers and the rest of their operations team worked diligently this season to cover the hills with more than enough snow to provide excellent skiable terrain two weeks beyond our typical closing date. Friday, April 13th the Silver Bullet lift will restart at 9:00 a.m., weather and conditions permitting, providing access to the village area runs at Blue ending at 4:30 p.m. daily. Lift tickets will be offered at a discounted rate of $20 (+GST) to the public and as a special offer to 5x7 pass holders and local ski club members at $10 (+GST) with proof of membership.
Grand Central Lodge will be closed due to conference commitments over the weekend, however, guests requiring food and beverage service are encouraged to take advantage of the Village dinning options. With over 25 shops, restaurants and bars, guests will find everything from Beavertails or burgers on the run to traditional Italian style pizza or casual gourmet dining.
As a central facility for restrooms and changing areas, the Grand Central Lodge and Rental building will be open during hours of operation. In addition, ski and snowboard rentals and Snow School programs will be available from this facility.
With spring in the air there is no better time to get out and enjoy an additional few days of skiing and riding. Guests are encouraged to check Blue Mountain’s Snow Phone at 705-445-0231 or our website at www.bluemountain.ca for weather and snow condition reports prior to arrival.
Happy spring everyone!
