Hot summer days (and nights) and craft beer make for an unbeatable combination as we wind down the summer, thanks to Beer Around the Bay's equally unbeatable schedule. Below are just three of these events - all in Simcoe County communities, to consider for your calendars and 'Things to Do' articles over the coming weeks. Savour Great Beer and Good Times in Collingwood August 18-19

The Collingwood Brewery Beer Fest is a unique opportunity for beer aficionados to sample suds from all five Beer Around the Bay breweries. Joining The Collingwood Brewery are Creemore Springs Brewery, Northwinds Brewery, Side Launch Brewing Company and Wasaga Beach Brewing Company, as well as a growing list of other craft breweries and cideries from across Ontario. Live music, food stations and beer tents make for a great weekend event. For details, go to this link.   


There's a Party Brewing! August 26

Creemore Springs Copper Kettle Festival. Celebrate the brewery's 30th anniversary with some good old fashioned fun along the main street of Creemore, located in Clearview Township. Enjoy great food and drink, brewery tours, games, kids' activities, classic cars and live music featuring The Sadies, Jane's Party, The Yonge Kings and more!  New this year is the Makers' Market, a handcrafted marketplace featuring local artists, producers, creators and designers. The event runs from 11am-6pm but arrive early to take advantage of the village's farmers' market which runs from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. For information, visit the Copper Kettle website.  

Wasaga Beach 

Got the Blues? Head to Wasaga September 14-17

Paint the town blues with the Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues festival and official beer sponsor Wasaga Beach Brewing Company. Led by headliner Shakura S’Aida, the event showcases such top acts as the Paul James Band, the Groove Project and the Michael Pickett Band. Enjoy food and retail vendors, a beer tent featuring the  and host of street performers. Details: Sept 14-17 at various locations in Wasaga Beach.
