Now in its 39th year, the annual Snowarama event is returning to Clearview Township to support over 200 children with disabilities in the area.
This Saturday, January 25th, snowmobilers and snowshoers will participate in the Snowarama fundraiser to help raise money for the Easter Seals foundation which provides programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities.
Each year, snowmobiling fanatics gather in 20 communities throughout Ontario to enjoy a thrilling day riding the trails and frolicking in the snow. The participants will collect pledges for the event beforehand to add to the outstanding $47,000 that has been raised in the past five years. This year is also the 6th annual mayor's ride as part of the event.
"Snowarama is a great way to support Easter Seals kids, check out our snowmobile trails and get active by snowshoeing," says Shane Sargant, the Clearview Township Community, Culture & Recreation coordinator.
Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids is the largest and most renowned snowmobiling fundraising activity in Ontario. And, with the outrageous amounts of fluff out there, why not enjoy the breathtaking views of the Bruce Trail: Canada's oldest and longest marked footpath!
Join in for a fun-filled day out in the snow to raise money for a good cause. Complimentary refreshments will be available throughout the day; however, lunch is by donation with all proceeds going to Easter Seals.
