Staff of the Meridian Credit Union hosted another successful Collingwood Polar Bear Dip in support of the Collingwood G&M Hospital Foundation. This year, the event drew 50 dippers who together with sponsors raised over $20,000 for cardiac monitors at the G&M Hospital. 50 brave souls plunged into the frigidly cold waters of Georgian Bay on March 29th in support of the cause.
The Hospital Foundation would like to recognize and thank the incredible group of sponsors who helped to make the event a success. Blue Mountain Honda and a list of other incredible supporters pulled together a spectacular show.
Congratulations to Dan McEwen, winner of the $1000 travel voucher generously. Individuals raising $200 or more in pledges were eligible for this draw. Congratulations also to Kevin Blair, winner for best costume. Honourable mentions for best Team Costumes go to the Just-Ice League from Jean Vanier High School - Joseph Spoor, Jack Ready, Laura Promm, Megan Minnikin, Zac Hacquard and Sara Barbadoro.
