Abbott Foot & Ankle Clinic is putting on their gloves and cleaning up our shoreline. Together, with your help, we hope to pick up all of the debris along the shoreline and trails at Harbourview Park in Collingwood.
Litter, whether deliberately or accidentally discarded, is the result of human activities. It gathers everywhere and natural forces such as wind or rain cause discarded items to travel widely and over long distances, specifically our shorelines, allowing it's negative effects to endure for decades.
By participating in the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean Up with us, you can ensure that these harmful items end up in the appropriate waste disposal or recycling facilities, and keep our beautiful shorelines and beaches clean and debris free.
From our local shorelines to waterways and oceans around the world, shoreline litter is a global environmental problem that can have long term impacts on ecosystems, wildlife and people. Removing it helps make our aquatic ecosystems cleaner, healthier and safer for all living things.
So join us on Saturday, April 20th, 10am to noon, to do a little "environmental housekeeping". Register online - Click Here.
