Thornbury Bakery Café has an amazing new Pastry Chef on their team! Her name is Courtney Storey and she trained at the exclusive Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute.  After several years of perfecting her skills while working in Toronto and across the country, Courtney is now creating beautiful wedding cakes, special occasion cakes, classic petit fours, French pastries, cupcakes and much more. 

 We are all so lucky to have a Pastry Chef of this caliber in Southern Georgian Bay!

The Thornbury Bakery has been a landmark in Thornbury for over 80 years!  Known for their Chelsea Buns, Cinnamon Rolls, Chop Suey Buns and Buttertarts, the bakery now offers much, much more.

Everyday their bakers produce freshly baked bread from scratch.   Nothing out of a package or from the freezer, they mix, proof and bake nine grain, whole wheat and white bread each and every morning. 

Since purchasing the bakery in 2008, Trish and Dave Smith have worked very hard to keep what was special about the bakery in tact while slowly adding products and services to make it even more appealing.   They still carry the ever-so-popular line of squares in the pastry case, but have added many new homemade treats.
