The Beaver Valley Community School in partnership with the Town of the Blue Mountains will be unveiling its new outdoor fitness park Wednesday, May 14th at 10:30am and all are welcome. This incredible outdoor park has been made possible thanks to a $15,000 grant from The Ontario Trillium Foundation an agency of the Government of Ontario as well as an additional $18,000 in donations and in kind from local business owners and community partners.
The outdoor fitness park located in the
schools intermediate yard will not only be available to our students as part of
their physical education curriculum but also to seniors, local sports teams,
fitness groups and the whole community.
A demonstration of the equipment will be
conducted by students, parents and seniors to showcase the broad spectrum of
uses this outdoor fitness park will provide to our community.
Representatives will be invited from The Ontario Trillium Foundation, The Town of Blue Mountains, Blue Water District School Board, MPP Jim Wilson, Trustee Fran Morgan, Director of Education Steve Blake, BVO, BVAA, local businesses and students from BVCS. Please join us in the unveiling of our new outdoor fitness park. We look forward to improving the health of our students and our whole community.
