The National Ski Academy (NSA) celebrates 30 years as Canada's only School and Charity dedicated to premium educational opportunities from grades 9-12 in harmony with superior alpine ski racing programming for local youth. In celebration of three decades of academic and athletic excellence, the school will host the 30th Annual NSA "SnowBall" Gala for fans, friends, family and alumni at Alpine Ski Club on Saturday November 19th . Jurg Gfeller, the Executive Director and Founder will be honoured at the affair for his ongoing work, entrepreneurship and vision in building and leading the National Ski Academy since it opened itâ€™s doors in 1986. Jurg invites you for an evening of celebrating, that will include meeting alumni such as Olympians Larisa Yurkiw, Dave Duncan and Tyler Nella as well as many of the 350 students who went on to graduate to some of the finest post secondary institutions en route to upstanding citizenship beyond the walls of "Tornaveen" at 200 Oak Street.
The evening will be co-hosted by alumni and former Canadian Ironman Champion Jasper Blake and S-Media star Martha Lee. Auction proceedings will be undertaken by former Canadian Downhill Champion and NSA "student #1" Graydon Oldfield. The title sponsor for the event is Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing.
