Great Lake Swimmers folk/Indie
Friday September 21, 8pm -  $25

Join Indie Award winners theGreat Lake Swimmers for an intimate evening! Dubbed "ambient folk" or original Canadiana, their swirl of acoustic guitars, banjo and brushed snare mixes atmospheric textures with skillful instrumental interplay. Songwriter Tony Dekker's songs are weightless and deceptively simple,

capable of turning seemingly mundane observations into harrowingly mournful tales.  Soft-sung and intense, he captures our ears by describing common feelings. Dekker makes feeling trapped in your own skin, the redemptive/destructive power of love and dodging imaginary beasties into beautiful, spiritual, multi-layered creations.
