In 2014, 822 building permits were issued, compared with 589 in 2013. The number of dwelling units created in 2014 - 315 - was almost double the number created in 2013 - 162.

The biggest increase in construction value came in the commercial sector; however, the residential sector also saw significant increases over 2013.
