How Others See The Georgian Triangle (Posted On: Friday, April 09, 2010)

A local REALTOR® wants the public to help show potential home buyers what real life is like in the Georgian Triangle.
Marg Scheben-Edey, a Broker with RE/MAX four seasons realty in Collingwood, launched a unique photographic project this week in conjunction with her popular real estate blog.

Called the “As You See It” camera project, she has released 5 disposable cameras around the Georgian Triangle asking those who find it to snap a picture of what they feel reflects life in the area.  A clear, plastic bag containing simple instructions and a record log asks people to pass the camera on to a total stranger or, to leave it where it is likely to be picked up.  The person who snaps the last picture on the film is asked to mail it back to her in a pre-paid envelope that is enclosed in the bag.
“Awhile ago, I read about something called The Disposable Memory Project  in which the originator sent out disposable cameras around the world.  It struck me as a GREAT idea and a creative way of seeing things through other people’s eyes.  Then I got thinking… why not try it right here in South Georgian Bay?” Scheben-Edey explained
As cameras are returned, photographs will be posted on her Collingwood – Blue Mountain real estate blog which currently has over 3,100 readers each month, many of whom are contemplating a move to the Georgian Triangle region.
