|It seems like it’s already been a long winter with all of the fabulous snow we’ve had and the best part is that it’s only the middle of January. If you love the outdoors and outdoor activity in the winter there are a couple of clubs that you should know about. So get your snowshoes out and get going. No secret that my favourite spot to snowshoe is a Scenic Caves Nordic Centre and if you’ve never been there before and only driven by what you see from the road only scratches the surface.|
We’ve included the trail maps in this newsletter to give you a peak at what you can expect. They’ve got wonderful Nordic and snowshoe trails that stretch far into the hardwood forest, up steep inclines, over the suspension bridge, under the bridge, up to the look out point and so on. Once again, the folks at Scenic Caves are hosting couple of very cool winter events, Romp to Stomp and NordicFest.
The Blue Mountains Bruce Trail Club and The Nature League both have guided hikes and winter activities lined up. This is a great way to start out if you’re not familiar with the area and want to meet some new friends that love nature too.
