Where can you eat a gourmet meal, take in a live concert, bid on auction items and watch a film, all for $50? At Collingwood's Gayety Theatre, of course! And you can even buy tickets at the door. The Winds of Change Gala, now in its 7th year takes place on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 and it packs value and fun together for two great causes: Elephant Thoughts and the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust. The event kicks off at 6pm at the Gayety Theatre and the Blue Mountains Foundation for the Arts next door. First off, tuck into a catered dinner and dessert by Bruce Wine Bar and Heavenly Cafe, along with a complimentary glass of craft beer or local wine from Northwinds Brewhouse and Georgian Hills Vineyard. Then there's live music by nationally acclaimed folk rock band Harlan Pepper. The evening is topped off with a short Emmy Award-winning film, Years of Living Dangerously-Winds of Change. The student Administration Council (SAC) and Georgian College, proudly present the Jeff West Experience. An event that supports continued funding for the Environment Networks after school programming for (Girlfriends and The Crew) in Grades 7 and 8. Programs that promote healthy attitudes that motivate youth with awareness and positive change. Theatre Collingwood is thrilled to present Confessions of a Fairy's Daughter on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 7:30pm at The Historic Gayety Theatre. Alison Wearing stars in this one-woman, award winning, play based on her best-selling memoir. Woven through music and imagery, this very humorous and amusing monologue moves from Alison's carefree childhood through to the moment she learns, at the age of 12, that her family is a bit more complex than she had believed.
