|The popular Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market returns this weekend for the season. The market operates each Saturday morning in the heart of Collingwood’s historic downtown from the holiday weekend in May until Thanksgiving Weekend. It is located in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Second and Pine Streets and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.|
Local vendors feature a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves, handcrafted items and more. Special activities for the family, entertainment and artists are featured each week.
To celebrate the market opening this year, Darci-Que and Emily will be in attendance with activities for the little ones, and Darci-Que will also be signing copies of her latest book in the Adventures of Mollie Doodle series, entitled “Molly’s Friend Murphy Goes Bonkers”. Adding to the festivities at the market this weekend will be “JUGGLES”, aka Curtis Lush, demonstrating the unique art of juggling.
After you visit the market, be sure to take a stroll through our historic downtown. The eclectic mix of shops, dining and professional services is the perfect blend to keep you family healthy, happy and stylin’. You’ll find the variety, quality and friendliness … outstanding!
There are still vendor opportunities available for the Farmers’ Market. Full season, four week seasonal and weekly spaces are being offered to a limited number of producers and crafters, to compliment the existing base of returning vendors.
