Family Adventure Day (Posted On: Thursday, August 09, 2012)

Spend the day with the Family at The Farmer’s Pantry this Saturday. Enjoy Tractor wagon rides of the farm, unlimited mini golf, the new Ropes Maze, the cedar maze and more. Snake and Reptile presentations plus tasty food sampling from Black Angus Meats, Farmers Pantry and Kolapore Springs Trout at 12:00 pm! Plus access to our Fur and Feather Sale. 

The Fur and Feathers sale is like a yard sale for animals – purchase chickens, bunnies, kittens, and puppies. Watch a horse demonstration with bridleless riding and desensitization as well, support the Blue Mountain Pony Club and purchase gently used equestrian accessories.  

Enjoy a fundraising BBQ for the Blue Mountain Pony Club prepared by Black Angus Meats and open to all; beef brisket on a bun, salads and desserts - Don't miss this tasty meal! Festivities begin at 10AM at the Farmers Pantry 788030 Grey Road 13  Clarksburg, Phone: (519) 599-3691

Pony Rides through the orchard available plus you can enjoy treats and cold drinks

10:30 A.M. Adventure Activities Begin – Adventure Day Entrance Fee ………..
 $10.00 for Adults $5.00 for Kids Entrance Fee Includes:
Access to the Fur and Feather Sales – buy and/or sell animals of all kinds or walk through and pet them;
 
Tasters and Recipes provided by Black Angus Meats, Kolapore Springs Trout and Farmers Pantry;

Snake and Reptile Presentations; Horse Demonstration with Emily McKague;

Beaver Valley Outreach Treasure Sale– walk through and pick those special collectibles AND EARLY BIRD Rodeo Tickets;

Blue Mountain Pony Club fundraising Yard Sale – find those horsy items for that special friend human or non;

PLUS 10 Holes of Farmer’s Mini-Golf on 1km trail through orchard;
practice lassoing of one of our calves; untangle yourself from our brand NEW rope maze;
get lost in the cedar maze; touch and feel Life and Taxidermy specimens in the Wildlife Interactive Center;
pet and play with farm animals in the petting areas

Enjoy a Wagon Ride through the Farm running every 30 minutes until 4:30 P.M. except during the presentations and tastings.

11:00 A.M. Snake and Reptile Presentation– touch and feel the snakes and reptiles and learn all about how they thrive in the wild!

12:00 P.M. Tasters and Recipes – Black Angus Meats will be cooking and giving tasters of their delicious Lamb, Kolapore Springs Fish will be providing appetizer tasters and Farmers Pantry will be providing Sliders for tasters as well! Enjoy a taste and take the recipe card home too!!!

1:00 P.M. Horse Demonstration by Emily McKague – Featuring horse Desensitization (a process of repetition, its introducing and removing an object from the horses; the training that Emily has put in her Horse to desensitize it will amaze you as she performs) and bridleless riding (where there is no bridle to give control of the head, watch as Emily uses her strong leg muscles to control where the horses goes and what it does)! 

2:00 P.M. Snake and Reptile Presentation– A great opportunity to touch and feel snakes and reptiles and learn all about how they thrive in the wild!

3:30—5:00 P.M. Blue Mountain Pony Club Fundraiser Dinner – Tickets will be sold throughout the day for $12.00 each. Black Angus Meats will be cooking the dinner fresh while they are here! Stop in and support the local pony club and get a great meal with all the fixings!
