Meaford Museum will be hosting a conference aimed at
empowering Arts and Culture organizations to plan and implement
programming for individuals with cognitive challenges on Monday May 2 and
Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Center.
This two day conference will present opportunities for community partnerships and programming. A key highlight will be Meaford Museum's own Living Memories program which was recently revealed at OMA's Annual Conference in Windsor. Participants will have the opportunity to further explore this exciting program, with hands on demonstrations and a copy of the licensed Living Memories program manual.
Key speakers will include representatives from the National Ballet School of Canada Dance Program for Older Adults with Dementia; and training with the Alzheimer Society of Grey Bruce. The full schedule is available through our website.
Audience: Museums, Art Galleries, Arts and Culture Organizations, Long Term Care, Day Away programs, organizations working with individuals with cognitive challenges, Community Living and anyone in arts and culture environment - art, dance, music, history who would like to make their programs more inclusive.
