Prague born artist Edward Ambrose has personally selected Eclekitka Galerie-Boutique to exclusively represent his work locally and in southern Ontario including the GTA. Ambrose who emigrated to Canada in 1968 due to political unrest in his homeland visited the southern Georgian Bay area early in the summer 2010 to select a gallery that could properly represent his work. He selected Eclektika because gallery owners Neil Thain and Katie Boucher

“treat each item of original art with the respect due unique creations”; Ambrose added “I like their business acumen”.

Ambrose studied Fine Arts and Drama at the Academy of Arts in Bratislava, receiving Masters of Arts degree. His current work is known for use of mixed media on canvas using a resin finish creating stunning contemporary work. In 36 years as a professional artist Ambrose has sold more than 8,000 pieces and is now available at Eclektika Galerie-Boutique located at 10 Second Street in Collingwood.

On September 17 Edward Ambrose will be at Eclektika during the day from 12 noon to 3PM. Eclektika co-owner Katie Boucher commented “We are going to start the day at Rogers TV with an interview of the artist on Rogers Daytime, then heading to Eclektika for the afternoon where Edward will pull the winning ballot for an original piece of his art”. Katie added “everyone can enter the draw in person at Eclektika right up until the draw on the afternoon of September 17th”.

“We are thrilled to bring an artist of Edward’s reputation to the area, we hope all interested will come by to have a look at his work”, commented Neil Thain, Eclektika co-owner. Eclektika Galerie-Boutique is located in downtown Collingwood at 10 Second Street.
