The Town of Collingwood is encouraging residents to get involved this Earth Day, Tuesday April 22.

Everyone can help keep Collingwood clean and beautiful by taking part in the first annual Collingwood Community Clean-up Day. Gather friends, family, neighbours, teams, or schoolmates this Earth Day for a community-wide cleaning of Collingwood's parks, trails, roads, schools, and public spaces.

Participation is easy! Residents can form a clean-up crew and identify an area that could use a quick tidy. Register your site on Collingwood's website, and the Town will provide supplies and garbage removal support.

If residents don't have a site in mind, they can join members of Council and municipal staff at Harbourview Park between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Earth Day, April 22, to help clean up the park.

If residents can't make it out on April 22, clean-up initiatives are encouraged throughout Earth Week and municipal staff will provide garbage removal services for all registered clean-ups.

For more information please visit or call 705-444-2500. Collingwood Community Clean-up Day is presented by the Town of Collingwood, the Adopt-a-Road Program, and Pitch-in Canada Week.
