The Georgian Bay Association for the Creative Arts (GBACA) announces that “Deck the Walls”, our Annual Art Show and Sale is now in full swing.   Creations from more than 50 talented local artists are on view throughout the Collingwood library and meeting rooms.

Representing painters, glass artists, wood workers, photographers, textile artists and sculptors,

this exciting collection of art will be on display only until the end of December 2010.

Art purchased during the show also supports the Collingwood Public Library as a generous commission is donated to the library by the artists.

We are delighted to have our show in the spacious and light filled beautiful new library.  Centrally located at 55 Ste. Marie St., the library is just a block east of Hurontario and within walking distance to the downtown shops and services.

GBACA is a non profit organization, founded in the 1980’s, to promote visual arts and unique crafts in the Southern Georgian Bay Area. We support and encourage over 170 artists and artisans in many ways.  GBACA offers educational opportunities in artistic fields, showcases our members at events such as “Deck the Walls” and co-organizes and participates in “Peak to Shore”, a regional art/music festival in August.

GBACA art shows take place at various times throughout the year. Our website,  provides up to date details on all our activities with links to many of our artists and their websites.

As busy as it is at this time of year, a visit to this unique art show at the Collingwood Library will provide you with a chance to immerse yourself in beautiful art, do some amazing shopping and support your library-all at the same time!
