As another spring slowly rolls around, preparations have started at Collingwood's Downtown Farmers' Market. Vendors are busy planting, growing, making and baking in anticipation of the May 21st kickoff to the 12th anniversary season. Your favourite vendors will be back and many new ones will enhance the product selection available each week.
To start the season the Collingwood Garden Club will be back for the launch weekend and will continue for three consecutive Saturdays until June 4. They will have planting activities for kids, some great gardening displays, Master Gardeners, information about gardening, area gardens, membership, demonstrations and a special Draw every week for great gardening stuff!
Continuing this year is the program of VQA wine sales at the local market. Returning vendors, Georgian Hills Vineyards and Coffin Ridge Winery will again have their products for sale including allowing you to sample the offerings before you buy.
2016 also marks the fourth year for the Moonlight Market, with the promise of a bigger (and brighter!) atmosphere. Watch for details about this exciting annual event!
Plan to come out to the municipal parking lot on the corner of Second and Pine Streets on May 21st from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to celebrate the start to the market's 12th anniversary year. Take a bite out of summer with the Collingwood Downtown Farmers' Market!
