Live from the Village and slopes at Blue Mountain, Citytv presents the biggest live production to happen outside of Toronto on Friday, February 4th, 2011.
Three programs including Breakfast Television, CityLine and CityNews at 6 will be broadcast from the Village at Blue, the Westin Trillium House and on Blue Mountain’s hills throughout the course of the day.
Breakfast Television (BT) leads the line-up with hosts and crew returning to the resort for their second live production. The show kicks off at 6:00 a.m. with a sunrise ski in support of Collingwood’s General and Marine Hospital. Head to the hill early for first tracks while supporting a great local cause!
BT’s live production will feature personalities Kevin Frankish, Dina Pugliese, Frank Ferragine and Jennifer Valentyne as they experience the highlights of ski and snowboard culture. Follow hosts while they explore winter activities offered in the Blue Mountains area and of course indulge in the best of local après drinks and dishes at a variety of restaurants in the Village at Blue. Whether you’re interested in a snowmobile across the countryside or learning about how to make the perfect winter meal, BT will give you a taste of the active winter lifestyle offered by resorts in Ontario! Recently added to the line-up are special live performances by Canadian music sensations Johnny Reid and Sweet Thing.
Immediately following Breakfast Television CityLine’s host Tracy Moore brings her contagious smile and vibrant personality north to experience the lively atmosphere of the Village at Blue. Join Tracy as she explores all that the Village has to offer in fashion, food, and entertainment.
Finally, CityNews at 6 will cap off the day reporting on weather and sports from the base of the hill.
So how do you reserve a spot on the hill or in the Village? The BT Morning Lift Ticket is redeemable only on Friday, February 4th, from 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. On-resort guests who arrive between 6:00 and 9:00 may appear on BT as part of this winter centric program. A specially priced $49 Day / Night lift ticket will also be made available before 9:00 a.m. with $10 going to the General and Marine Hospital. Alternatively, guests are welcome to come to the Village to watch live productions of BT, CityLine and CityNews at 6 free of charge.
