The Blue Mountain Village Foundation is pleased to announce that a donation was made to Elephant Thoughts Educational Outreach. A donation of $7,225 was be presented to the organization on August 5th, 2015 at 10 am in the Blue Mountain Village in front of Georgian Christmas. Jeremy Rhodes and Tara Bailey received a cheque from Foundation board member; George Weider.
"The Foundation reviewed many applications for funds and all were very deserving," says Stacy Manning Vice President of the Foundation. "We chose to support Elephant Thoughts After School program as it exemplifies our efforts to support children's education and after school activities."
"Elephant Thoughts would like to sincerely thank the BMVF for its continued support of our local programs. In a region as affluent as the Georgian Triangle it is easy to overlook the large number of families facing economic hardships. So many children in this area never get the chance to participate in the activites that most of our families take for granted from sports to camps to after school programs. We strive to ensure that those children get access to all the valuable programs and opportunities that the region has to offer. Thanks to this support, hundreds of children are going to have the opportunity to be inspired, to learn, to be excited about education, to discover. It just may be the spark that changes lives." says Jeremy Rhodes,Executive Director.
The Blue Mountain Village Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our local communities through its financial support of registered charitable organizations whose activities provide benefit to the residents of our local communities, with an emphasis on children and family programs.
