Collingwood Public Library is celebrating Ontario Public Library Week with three exciting events!
Food for Fines
If you have outstanding fines on library materials, you can pay them off during the week of October 18 to 24 by bringing in non-perishable food items for our Local Food Bank. The Food Bank is in need of canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, lunch snacks, crackers, granola bars, pasta, and pasta sauce. Items donated should reflect the amount owing on late fines. Food for fines does not apply to the replacement of lost or damaged items.
The BIG Book Sale
Get ready for the Library's BIGGEST book sale of the year from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25 in the Art Walk. We will have a wide variety of books on sale, including fiction, non-fiction, and children's books. Great deals are to be had with most everything $3 and under.
Georgian Bay Reads
This annual event takes place at the Station on the Green in Creemore on Saturday, October 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. It brings together five local libraries to celebrate Canadian authors. Clearview, Collingwood, Meaford, Springwater, and Wasaga Beach Public Libraries will be duking it out to see who will be library champion this year.
Collingwood Public Library's defender is Susie Saunderson, defending Louise Penny's Still Life. Check out the other library defenders and their books at our website.
Tickets to this exciting event are limited and are available at the Collingwood Public Library's Public Services Desk. Attendees must have a ticket to enter the event.
