The Great Northern Exhibition
September 25, 26 & 27, 2009. The Great Northern Exhibition has been a showplace for all things agricultural for over 150 years. Originally a way for rural people to show their produce with pride, and compete in many agricultural and homemaking areas, over the decades, it has become a great source of information and entertainment, providing a venue for rural and townsfolk alike to meet, compete, and share the latest in ideas, news and see the latest merchandise. As information became more readily available through the media, the focus of today’s GNE shifted to entertainment and education. Today, the GNE is the prime country fair in the southern Georgian area, and thousands of visitors attend the 3-day event. Situated between Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Stayner, the GNE features local home crafts, produce, livestock and entertainment. Join us for the horse-pull, the horse show, the demolition derby, the youth talent show, and dozens of other features . See you at the Fair!!
