Collingwood Collegiate Celebrates its 150th School Reunion! Former students and staff are invited to return to the upcoming 150th CCI School Reunion to make new memories with old friends. Get out your calendars and mark June 27, 28, 29, 2008 as an event not to be missed!
15 years ago CCI hosted its last grand reunion in 1993. The upcoming 2008 reunion kicks off a whole week of celebrations in the town of Collingwood, as the town itself is also celebrating its Sesquicentennial (150 years).
A special Alumni Golf event kicks off the Reunion with a 5 pm shotgun start at Blue Mountain Golf Club. Registration begins at CCI at 3 pm on Friday June 27. You are then invited to wander the halls of good ole CCI to visit our Decade rooms that will be filled with archive material from the different eras. Friday’s feature event “The Flashback Dance” happens at the Collingwood Curling Club from 6pm to 12 midnight. Dance to the sounds of former alumnus Howard Woolner and his “Flashback Band” along with cameo performances by CCI’s old rock alumni. Decade pictures will also be taken.
On Saturday June 28 the day starts off with a Pancake Breakfast at CCI from 8 am to 10am. Opening ceremonies in the “old gym” begin at 11. Lunch will be available as well as the Decade rooms and live open-mike entertainment where everyone is welcome to join in! Saturday’s main event, a sumptuous Dinner and Social will also be hosted at the Collingwood Curling Club. Seating is limited at this venue so be sure to register early to reserve your spot. After dinner enjoy the sounds of CCI alumnus DJs. Once again decade pictures will be taken.
On Sunday June 29th, a final Farewell Barbecue will take place from 12 noon to 1:30 pm back at Good Ole CCI.
Visit the Collingwood Collegiate Website and click on the Reunion Button to PRE- REGISTER for the events you are interested in. Seating is limited for the Friday and Saturday Night events, so alumni are encouraged to register early.
