With the onset of the winter season, we anticipate the filling of our post boxes with piles and piles of holiday season cards. This also means we’ll cram our recycling bins with the wasted paper that wraps these heartfelt wishes.
Local artist, Keli-Ann Pye-Beshara has introduced a fresh idea to holiday season card giving – ART POSTCARDS. This set of unique cards is based on 3 of her original acrylic paintings: ‘View from the Café’, ‘Minnesota Street’ and ‘Third Street’. Each one is inspired by today’s beautiful Collingwood, Ontario, but is reminiscent of any quaint town from days of old. After the message has been received, these 5” x 7” vibrant images can be framed and displayed all winter long.
You can purchase them individually [$3.50] or in packs of 30 [$35.00] at Café Chartreuse, 70 Hurontario, Collingwood, where you can also visit Keli-Ann’s public art studio in the front window. You can do all sorts of holiday shopping at her studio. She has everything from original paintings, limited edition prints of downtown Collingwood and framed canvas prints, to hostess packs of cards for party thank-you’s and individual greeting or post cards. Perfect ideas for those near or far away during this snowy season.
Plus, Café Chartreuse has a wonderful array of fine holiday gifts sure to please even the most refined person on your list. Pop in for a visit and see for yourself.
