|If you stop by Three Peas in a Pod, a delightful children’s boutique located at 64 Hurontario Street in downtown Collingwood, you’ll notice a curious tree filled with owls just like Lou. Read on below to see how Lou and his owl friends help the Tooth Fairy all year long. This is a cute story to share with your kids or grandkids.|
Many years ago, in a bedroom just like yours, the Tooth Fairy was hard at work. She was collecting the teeth that she loved so much, and leaving a gift for the children who supplied them. The Tooth Fairy loved her work and the treasures it brought, but retrieving the teeth was getting harder. More and more children had heard about the Tooth Fairy and the shiny coins she left behind.
One moonlit night the Tooth Fairy fell from exhaustion. An owl by the name of Lou found her and took her, and the teeth, up to his nest, where he gave her shelter from the cold night. The Tooth Fairy was very grateful that this owl took care of her and protected her collection of teeth. She and Lou became best friends. The two of them went out into the world every night to collect teeth. When things got busier yet again, Lou flew all over the world to ask his owl friends for help. Now they keep the teeth safe while Lou and the Tooth Fairy make their rounds. For every child there is an owl that will guard the Tooth Fairy’s treasure and the child’s coins. Each owl is unique in its own way, just like you.
Wrap up your tooth in some tissue and leave it in the pocket on the back of your owl. The Tooth Fairy will find it there and leave you a little something in return. Lou will be there helping his best friend, just like always.
Each owl is handmade by Polly Taylor and they are available at Three Peas in a Pod Sweet Pea Wholesome Baby in Owen Sound.
