Saturday October 2, 2010 at 6:30pm, Theatre Collingwood presents their signature event, AN EVENING IN MOTOWN in the Weider Room, Blue Mountain Inn, at Blue Mountain Resort.
'Shake a tail feather' at this unique entertainment evening which offers hors d’oeuvres followed by an elegant themed three-course dinner, plus scintillating live and silent auction items and dancing.
The featured entertainment is Canada’s #1 Motown performance ensemble, BluSouL. The performance will showcase classic songs from Motown’s greatest solo voices, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. BluSouL will also be harmonizing with the appeal of the Temptations, Four Tops, The O’Jays and even Boyz II Men.
BluSouL performers, Jeremiah, Bubba, Tim and Edward have already accumulated several accolades in their careers from performing with the best in R&B, Soul and Hip Hop to receiving awards and nominations for Best Performance in Canada, the US and South America. BluSouL also brings comedy to the stage as their cast is made up of seasoned stage and film actors, along with a comedic writer and stand up comedian.
Leader, Edward Dottin remarks, “We intend to bring the art back to performance. For too long, groups have made the package attractive with no talent to back it up. We believe that looking the part simply isn’t good enough”.
