Corus Radio Collingwood is pleased to celebrate a broadcasting milestone with morning man, John Nichols, who in February 2011, will celebrate his 40th year with 95.1 The Peak FM.
Longtime broadcaster and current morning drive host John Nichols has worked at CKCB since 1971 when The Morning Flight debuted. A format flip to FM and four decades later, Nichols is still in the host’s chair,
entertaining and informing morning audiences in The Georgian Triangle.
“John Nichols’ remarkable years of service and continued community involvement has proven to be a success not only for him personally but the station’s as well, “ said Chris Pandoff, Executive Vice President and President, Corus Radio. “The community, and certainly Corus Entertainment, is proud of John’s accomplishments.”

On the philanthropic front, John continues to lead the annual Christmas Draw which he introduced over 30 years ago and has raised over $600,000 for The General & Marine Hospital Foundation. John has also won several prestigious awards including the Order of Collingwood and the Companion to the Order of Collingwood for his years of voluntarism.
To celebrate John Nichol’s milestone anniversary, 95.1 The Peak FM will be hosting an on-air 40th Anniversary Breakfast on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Olde Red Hen Restaurant in downtown Collingwood. Community leaders as well as new and long-time listeners are invited to stop by to congratulate Nichols.
