2017 Bowl for Kids Sake (Posted On: Friday, February 03, 2017)

Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Georgian Triangle (BBBSGT) will launch the Bowl for Kids Event at the Georgian Bowling Alley and Meaford Bowling Alley.  The official kickoff event will be at the Georgian Bowling Alley on February 10th, 2017 at 5pm. The 2017 CF Crozier & Associates Bowl for Kids' Sake event is expecting to raise $100,000 in its 39th year running in support of youth the Georgian Triangle. The agency served 364 children and youth in the five municipalities of the Georgian Triangle: Clearview Township, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Town of Blue Mountains and Meaford. Big Brothers Big Sisters receives no sustainable government funding. Programs are free and supported by donations from the public, corporations, private and public foundations, service club support and grants.The BBBSGT family is very appreciative of the community's support of Bowl for Kids' Sake, our agency's most important fundraiser of the year.

Agency Executive Director Robin Heald said, "over 800 fundraising bowlers participated both the Georgian Bowl and Meaford Bowl. Over 100 businesses and organizations supported this very important fundraiser. A special Thank You goes out to the CF Crozier & Associates for being our Title Sponsor once again this year. Also, this event would not happen without the support of The Hanley Family of Georgian Bowl and Dave Brown of Meaford Bowl."

Because of the amazing support from the communities, Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Georgian Triangle is able to continue their many programs such as: Kids, Cops and Communities; after school group programs such as the Homework Club and Boys Club; Go Girls and the Recess Program. Children continue to benefit through traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters matching program and In-School Mentoring.
